COMPOSITION
Each mL contains:
Flunixin Meglumine ……………………………………… 50 mg
(Equivalent to Flunixin base 25 mg)
Excipients ………………………………………… q.s. to 1 mL
PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASS
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-endotoxic properties.
INDICATIONS
FLUXAVET® is indicated for the control of inflammation, pain, fever, and endotoxemia, including:
Acute inflammation and pain
Musculoskeletal disorders
Respiratory diseases associated with fever
Mastitis (supportive therapy)
Endotoxemia and septic shock
Colic and visceral pain (horses)
in cattle, camels, horses, sheep, and goats, as directed by a veterinarian.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For intravenous or intramuscular injection, depending on species and condition.
Cattle & Camels:
1.1 – 2.2 mg flunixin per kg body weight
(Equivalent to 1–2 mL per 45 kg body weight)
Once daily for up to 3 days
Horses:
1.1 mg per kg body weight
Once daily or as directed
⚠️ Do not exceed recommended dose or duration.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to flunixin or other NSAIDs
Gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding
Severe renal or hepatic impairment
Dehydrated or hypovolemic animals
Do not use in conjunction with other NSAIDs or corticosteroids
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Local irritation at injection site
Gastrointestinal ulceration with prolonged use
Renal toxicity in dehydrated animals
Rare hypersensitivity reactions
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 14 days
Milk: 36 hours
(Withdrawal periods may vary according to national regulations.)
PRECAUTIONS & WARNINGS
Ensure adequate hydration before treatment
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration
Avoid concurrent use with nephrotoxic drugs
Not recommended for long-term continuous therapy
